What does caregiving training prepare you for?
Caregiving programs develop competencies needed to support clients in daily living and care-related activities. The exact competencies depend on the qualification. Training may cover safe care practices, client support, communication and other competencies defined in the applicable TESDA Training Regulations.
Is there an online caregiving course?
TESDA’s Online Program includes a Human Health/Health Care category. Course availability can change, so check the live TOP catalog for any current online caregiving modules. Online learning should not automatically be presented as equivalent to completing competency assessment for a National Certificate.
How to find face-to-face training
Use TESDA’s official registered-program verification tools or contact the nearest TESDA office. Search for the exact caregiving qualification and your preferred location. Contact the training institution directly to confirm schedules, fees or scholarship slots, entry requirements and assessment arrangements.
How to get National Certification
National Certification is tied to competency assessment. Ask the training provider or TESDA about the assessment process for the qualification you are taking. Do not assume that finishing an online module alone grants an NC.
Can caregiving training help with overseas work?
It can provide relevant skills, but overseas employers and destination countries may require specific experience, language ability, health checks, licenses or other credentials. Verify the actual job requirements before enrolling solely for overseas employment.
