CHED Scholarship 2021-2022 Now Accepting Applications

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) opened its scholarship program for the academic year 2021 to 2022, fulfilling its mandate to promote relevant and high-quality education that will produce highly competent and well-knowledgeable graduates and professionals. CHED also ensures that quality higher education is accessible to all who seek it, particularly those who may not afford it.


The financial assistance shall cover tuition and other school fees, stipend which shall be released directly to the scholars or through higher education institutions (HEIs), and book/ connectivity allowance per semester of a given academic year until the completion of the educational program. 


CHED scholarship application period will be until August 15, 2021.


Documentary Requirements

  • Citizenship
    • Certified true copy of Birth Certificate
  • Academic
    • Duly certified true copy of High school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college (High School Graduate)
    • Duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12 for graduating high school students.
  • Income: - any one of the following:
    • Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR
    • Certificate of Indigency from their Barangay
    • Certificate/Case Study from DSWD
    • Latest ITR (BIR Form No. 2316 CY 2020) of parents or guardian if employed
    • Latest copy of contract or proof of income for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) and seafarers.

How to Apply for CHED Scholarship Programs

  1. Check whether you are qualified for any CHED Scholarship Programs (CSPs)
    • Filipino Citizen
    • Graduating Senior High School students/ Senior High school graduate
    • General Weighted Average (GWA) of at least 93% or above.
      • For Full State Scholarship Program(FSSP) and Full Private Education Student Financial Assistance(FPESFA), GWA must be 96 or above.
      • For Half-SSP and Half-PESFA, GWA must be at least 93 but not more than 95
    • Combined annual gross income of parent/s or guardian who does not exceed Four Hundred Thousand Pesos (PHP 400,000.00), or in cases where the income exceeds PHP 400,000.00 an applicant must present a written certification or medical findings of illness of a family member, or school certifications of two or more dependents enrolled in college
    • Must avail of only one CHED scholarship or financial assistance program; and
    • Must not be a graduate of any degree program.

  2. If you are qualified, accomplish the CHED online application form through each CHED Regional Offices listed below.
Wait for CHED’s follow-up email whether you are on the list of pre-qualified applicants, then print and submit the generated CHED Scholarship Program Application Form together with the pertinent documentary requirements to the designated HEI near you or CHED Main Office in your region.
