The Nike Jordan Store in Manila Is Fully Booked Until May 2021

Nike’s first-ever Jordan brand store in South East Asia finally opened its doors in Manila on December 3, but don’t rush to BGC just yet. Because of the pandemic and, with it, the health and safety protocols being implemented, Nike has made sure to limit the number of shoppers visiting the store through an online booking platform.

The portal allows interested shoppers to schedule their visit while ensuring that they won’t breach the limited store capacity. Even during the VIP opening last Monday, swab tests were conducted on all guests—including celebrities and influencers like Nadine Lustre, James Reid, Laureen Uy, and Patricia Henson.

That said, since posting the teaser video on their official Instagram last Saturday, November 28, people have since flocked to the booking platform to save a slot. So many people wanted to visit and call first dibs on everything Jordan that the slots have swiftly ran out.

In fact, all available schedules have been booked until May 2021! “It’s a good problem to have,” says Jino Ferrer, Nike Philippines’ Country Marketing Manager. But, don’t fret.

If May next year feels like a lifetime away, Jino has assured that the brand will be working out a safe walk-in system. Otherwise, they'll be adding more slots per day to cautiously accommodate the growing demand. For now, all we can do is wait and refresh their website for any updates!
