WATCH: Grab Rider With One Leg Shuffles Between Two Jobs

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, delivery app riders were among the ones who rode to the frontlines. They shuffled between pick-up and drop off points, notwithstanding the dangers on the road and the risk of getting sick.

It's more difficult for 49-year old Grab rider Joy Calimlim Habana who rides with just one leg. His other leg was amputated soon after he was born because of a complication.

Difficulties aside, Habana is powering through the pandemic as a differently abled father who fends for his four children by juggling two jobs. When he is not a delivery app rider, he is a pest control worker.

He was discovered by former Senator JV Ejercito who saw him while out on a bike ride and could not help but notice him hustling.

Showing just how capable he is of doing more, he is also vying for a place in the national sailing team as the skipper or the captain of the vessel.
